Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics
Dr. Solow has over 30 years of clinical experience with children and is currently one of only three specialists in the state of Pennsylvania practicing both specialties with certificates in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry (Dr. Scott and Dr. Alex are the other two!). He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Undergraduate School as well as Dental School. His specialty training consisted of several years at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania, after which he received certificates in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. The training consisted of care not only for the healthy child, but also for the handicapped and medically compromised patient. He has served as a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Scott joins his dad with his unique training as a combined pediatric dental and orthodontic specialist. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his dental and orthodontic degrees from Columbia University School of Dentistry and his pediatric dental degree from the Temple/Episcopal Hospital Program. His training was extensive and diverse in both specialties.
Dr. Alex, along with Dr. Steve and Dr. Scott, are among only a handful of doctors in the country to complete dual-specialty training in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dr. Alex received his undergraduate degree at Emory University, where he graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He then moved to Philadelphia to pursue his doctorate in Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated #1 in his class. Dr. Alex went on to receive his Pediatric Dental training at Temple University Hospital, followed by a second specialty in Orthodontics and M.S. in Oral Biology at Temple University. His extensive and diverse background enables him to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.
Dr. Jeny was raised in Miami, FL (fluent in Spanish!) and completed her college degree at the University of Florida. She then moved to the northeast to earn her doctorate in Dental Medicine at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she graduated at the top of her class. After completing an additional two years of pediatric specialty training at Case Western Reserve University and Rainbow Babies Children’s Hospital, Dr. Jeny was excited to return to Philadelphia and work in the city she loves the most!
